How do I back up my Banktivity ledger?

One of the best ways to protect your financial data is to back up your Banktivity ledgers regularly. Banktivity is designed to play nicely with Time Machine and other backup utilities, and saves your data in the library.

In addition to Time Machine, Banktivity Cloud Sync provides a handy way to back up your data. Even if you only use Banktivity on one Mac, syncing your ledger to the cloud will provide a safe and easy way to restore the file in case of an emergency.

If you don't use Time Machine, you can easily make a archived backup copy of any Banktivity ledger in the the application. With the Organizer open by going to File > Open Organizer, you can select a ledger from the organizer window and be able to export that ledger to an archive file by going to File > Export Archive. Later, you can import that file back into the software if you choose by going to File > Import Archive
