Why does Banktivity for Mac keep jumping back to the top of the transaction register?

If you’re noticing that Banktivity sometimes scrolls back up to the top of the register while you are reviewing/editing older transactions in the account, and you are using an Apple Magic Mouse or trackpad, you may be experiencing a known interaction between the mouse/trackpad settings and Banktivity. To resolve this, you’ll need to update the settings for your mouse/trackpad as follows.

If you are using the Apple Magic Mouse:
1. Go to  > System Settings* > Mouse.
2. Click “More Gestures”.
3. Change the setting for “Swipe between pages” to either “Swipe Left or Right with Two Fingers” or “Off”.

If you are using the Trackpad:
1. Go to  > System Settings* > Trackpad.
2. Click “More Gestures”.
3. Change the setting for “Swipe between pages” to either “Swipe with Three Fingers” or “Off”.

✽ On MacOS Monterey (12) or earlier, you may see “System Preferences” instead of “System Settings” in the  menu. The navigation steps to resolve this issue on those operating systems are otherwise the same.
