Banktivity 7 is an older version of the software which is no longer officially supported and will not run under the latest iOS 18. To continue using Banktivity on the latest iOS, you’ll need to upgrade to the latest version of Banktivity (9.2.12).
To migrate your data from Banktivity 7 into the new version, you’ll need to download the new Banktivity app from the App Store first (but do not delete the Banktivity 7 app yet as your data is linked to the app). When you install the new Banktivity, the app should walk you through the process to bring your data into the new version. If a document is already open, you should tap on the ‘file cabinet’ in the top left corner of the screen to close it, then tap “Create a new document”.
Then, from the screen “Welcome to Banktivity”, you will need to tap “I’ve Used Banktivity Before”, then “I have a Banktivity file/Choose File”. A file browser window will open, from there you can search for and/or choose your “.bank7-ios” data file to migrate it into version 9. (*If you’re not sure where the Banktivity 7 file is saved, you can search for it using its file extension, “.bank7-ios”.)
