While Banktivity lets you export data to tax prep software such as TurboTax, some users still prefer to outsource the filing of their returns to a professional. One way to do this is to create a report with your year-end info, save it to a PDF and email it over. Done.
But you or your accountant may prefer to have access to transaction data in spreadsheet format. Banktivity makes this a bit more accessible, as previously you’d need to drag and drop table data to Numbers, Excel, or even just to your desktop. But now you can open a report in Banktivity and click the Export button. Name your file where it says Save As (you can also choose a save location), and click Save. This will create CSV file containing your report data from Banktivity. You can then open the CSV file using Excel or Numbers and manipulate the data as you like… or send it off and let your accountant do the work.
